An Antiques Roadshow guest was left gutted after finding out his grandfather’s war medals would have hit the £250,000 mark – if only they’d been bigger.

The guest came on the BBC show bearing Captain Henry Reynolds’ miniature medals, including his Victoria Cross.

The set of medals commemorated Henry’s bravery in WWI, particularly in capturing 70 German troops in 1917.

He explained that his grandfather’s troops were ambushed in an attack by enemy troops.
